The BA (Hons) Acting 2 Years Intensive is distinctive and unique by being specifically designed for the practical training of the actor, and work within the course can take place within the professional environment of an acclaimed working theatre.

The postgraduate acting course is suitable for those looking to further their acting skills in a short period of time. Mature students are required to be able to deal with the demands of this course.

You -tomorrow’s director -will have a highly specialised training. You will work with and through the actors, designers, technicians. You will have an appreciation and practical experience of each discipline. Not only will you allow and nurture a freedom in the actors creative instincts/imagination, you will also create a working dialogue and interflow of ideas with the relevant technical specialists, whilst creating a fruitful director/designer relationship. You will organise and channel all this creativity and energy along the lines of the original concept  or ‘vision’; You will be prepared to adapt and be flexible to a degree, whilst not losing your own artistic integrity.

Stage Management is responsible for the technical support for all Court productions and is supported by an expert tutoring group of professional technicians and designers. This Course offers the opportunity to gain real production experience and to forge lasting creative relationships with new directors and performers. The Programme, while allowing specialisation in Stage Management, looks at the whole process of Production work and focuses on the creative and working relationship between Director, Designer, Stage Manager and Actor.
